One reader for CFexpress Type A and SD cards
The Sony MRW-G2 is a memory card reader for photographers, videographers and creators who work with CFexpress Type A or SD cards. It supports Sony CFexpress Type A cards and SD cards in UHS-I and UHS-II formats, including SDHC and SDXC. This is the MRW-G2, for Type A and SD cards; it is not the MRW-G1 reader for CFexpress Type B and supported XQD cards.
The MRW-G2 supports SuperSpeed USB 10Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen 2) through USB Type-C and Type-A connections. Sony recommends USB Type-C for high-speed transfers. The package includes both USB-C-to-USB-C and USB-C-to-standard-USB-A cables, so you can connect to compatible computers with either port type. Actual transfer speeds depend on the card, computer, cable, port and files being transferred; 10Gbps is the interface specification, not a guaranteed card-read speed.
A recessed card slot helps reduce accidental card ejection, while an access LED indicates card insertion and activity. The compact, USB-powered reader needs a single cable connection for data and power.
