The display supports P3 wide colour for a broad range of colours, True Tone to adjust the display's colour balance to ambient lighting, and a fully laminated panel with an antireflective coating. With brightness rated at up to 500 nits, it is suitable for reading, browsing, viewing photos, streaming content and using creative applications in a variety of everyday environments.

The compact screen makes the iPad mini particularly convenient for carrying in a bag, reading ebooks, annotating documents and using the tablet while travelling.

Apple A17 Pro Chip for Powerful Performance

At the heart of the iPad mini 7 is Apple's A17 Pro chip. Its six-core CPU, five-core GPU and 16-core Neural Engine support responsive everyday performance, graphics-intensive applications and compatible AI-powered features.

Use the iPad for multitasking between productivity apps, editing photos, playing supported games, working with documents or enjoying multimedia. Hardware-accelerated graphics features help supported applications deliver more advanced visual effects.

The A17 Pro also enables Apple Intelligence features on supported software versions. The availability of individual features depends on the installed operating system, language, region and Apple's current compatibility requirements.

Apple Intelligence for Compatible Everyday Tasks

The iPad mini 7 supports Apple Intelligence, Apple's collection of AI-powered features integrated into compatible operating-system functions and applications.

Depending on software version and availability, supported features can help with writing, rewriting and summarising text, creating or editing images, and interacting with Siri in more natural ways. Feature availability can change as Apple releases software updates.

Apple Intelligence availability is not identical across all languages and regions. Check Apple's current feature-availability information before purchasing if a specific AI feature is important to you.

Apple Pencil Pro Support for Notes and Creativity

Turn the iPad mini 7 into a portable digital notebook or creative canvas with compatible Apple Pencil accessories. The tablet supports Apple Pencil Pro and Apple Pencil (USB-C), providing options for handwriting, drawing, annotating PDFs and marking up documents.

Apple Pencil Pro offers supported advanced interactions such as squeeze and barrel roll, along with haptic feedback and Find My support. Some functions depend on the app being used.

Students can use a compatible Pencil for handwritten notes and diagrams, professionals can annotate documents on the go, and artists can sketch or illustrate using supported creative applications.

Note: Apple Pencil accessories are sold separately unless explicitly included in the FancyTech product bundle.

12MP Rear Camera for Photos and 4K Video

The rear camera features a 12MP wide sensor with an ƒ/1.8 aperture, autofocus with Focus Pixels and digital zoom up to 5×. It supports Smart HDR 4, panorama photography up to 63MP, burst mode and automatic image stabilisation for photos.

For video, the rear camera supports 4K recording at 24, 25, 30 or 60 frames per second, as well as 1080p HD recording. Supported slow-motion recording reaches 1080p at 120 or 240 frames per second.

These capabilities make the iPad mini 7 useful for capturing everyday moments, scanning documents, recording short videos and creating content in compatible apps.

12MP Front Camera with Center Stage

The landscape-oriented 12MP front camera supports Center Stage, a feature designed to keep you framed during compatible video calls as you move. It is useful for FaceTime calls, remote learning, virtual meetings and conversations with family or colleagues.

The camera supports 1080p HD video recording and Smart HDR 4, helping provide clear video for calls and compatible recording tasks.

Touch ID Security

The iPad mini 7 integrates Touch ID into the top button. Use your fingerprint to unlock the tablet, authenticate supported purchases and securely access compatible apps.

Touch ID offers convenient access without requiring you to enter your passcode every time, while your passcode remains available as an alternative authentication method.

Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 and Optional 5G

All iPad mini 7 configurations support Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. Wi-Fi 6E can access compatible 6GHz networks where available, helping provide additional wireless capacity when paired with a suitable router and local regulatory support.

Choose the Wi-Fi + Cellular version if you want mobile data connectivity beyond Wi-Fi networks. This configuration supports 5G and Gigabit LTE on compatible networks and uses eSIM rather than a physical SIM card.

Before choosing a cellular model, confirm that your preferred Kenyan carrier supports eSIM activation for iPad and that the required network bands and service are available. Cellular service and data plans may require separate charges.

USB-C Connectivity and External Display Support

The iPad mini 7 includes a USB-C port for charging, data transfer and supported accessories. Its USB 3 support enables data transfer rates of up to 10Gb/s with compatible hardware and cables.

USB-C also supports native DisplayPort output, allowing the tablet to connect to a compatible external display. With the appropriate adapter, it supports video output to compatible HDMI, VGA or DVI displays. The iPad mini 7 can also mirror video to supported AirPlay devices.

Actual transfer speeds and display capabilities depend on the connected accessory, cable, display and software.

Battery Life for Work, Study and Entertainment

The built-in 19.3-watt-hour lithium-polymer battery is rated for up to 10 hours of web browsing over Wi-Fi or video playback. Apple rates Wi-Fi + Cellular models for up to nine hours of web browsing using a mobile data network.

Actual battery life depends on brightness, network conditions, applications, settings and battery condition. You can charge the iPad mini 7 through its USB-C port using a compatible power adapter or a supported computer connection.

Stereo Speakers, Microphones and Media Playback

The iPad mini 7 includes stereo speakers and dual microphones for calls, audio recording and video recording. It supports a broad range of video formats, including HEVC, H.264 and AV1, and supports HDR formats including Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG.

For audio, it supports formats such as AAC, MP3, Apple Lossless, FLAC, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby Atmos. Spatial Audio playback is also supported.

These features make the tablet suitable for streaming, listening to music, video calls, online learning and compatible entertainment applications.

Compact Design for Everyday Portability

Measuring approximately 195.4 × 134.8 × 6.3mm, the iPad mini 7 is designed to fit easily into a small bag or backpack. The Wi-Fi model weighs approximately 293g, while the Wi-Fi + Cellular model weighs approximately 297g.

Its compact footprint is useful for reading on public transport, taking notes during meetings, travelling with digital documents and using a tablet in spaces where a larger screen may feel cumbersome.

Storage Options: 128GB, 256GB and 512GB

Choose the storage capacity that suits your usage:

• 128GB: Suitable for everyday apps, reading, documents, browsing and moderate media storage.

• 256GB: A useful middle option for users who keep more photos, downloads, games and creative projects on their tablet.

• 512GB: Better suited to users who need more local space for large apps, video files, offline media and creative work.

Storage requirements vary by user. Available space is less than the advertised capacity because the operating system and other files use part of the storage.
